Who I Am
Music has been a passion for as long as I can remember. As a child I listened to folk music with my parents, and my interests evolved from there. I finally picked up a guitar in college and eventually focused on vocals.
What I Do
John McCarthy is a guitarist and vocalist performing an eclectic mix of 80s, 90s and contemporary music.
What I Play
Acoustically oriented rock and songs that translate well to solo acoustic. My set list includes artists like Collective Soul, REM, Pearl Jam, Mumford & Sons, Colin Hay, Decemberists, Carbon Leaf, U2, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Samples, Barenaked Ladies, Tom Petty, Goo Goo Dolls, Beatles and more. You will hear songs you know and I will introduce you to some I am sure you will enjoy.
